bla bla bla

Hey there,

I'm really tired but can't sleep. Don't you hate it when that happens?

I see it has been a week since my last post. Sorry I've neglected the bloggy blog. I've been a bit busy. Today I worked, yesterday (Saturday) I also worked, as well as spent some time with my siblings & watched a movie (Iron man 2, twas pretty good) & helped my mom with more moving of things into her new house until 1 in the morning. On Tuesday my friend came over & we watched a movie, Just Buried and some Real Time with Bill Maher, whose name I managed to forget somehow. The other day I also picked up a b-day present for my sister, whose b-day will be this Tuesday. The rest of the past week I mostly just spent working.

She asked me if I could help her with more moving tonight (she called at 10:30pm), but I was too tired to be carrying around boxes & was already in my pajamas, plus I have a lot of homework to do. So... not today, maybe tomorrow. I tried to go to sleep, but it wasn't working out so well, actually falling asleep just wasn't happening.

I finished my latest read a little while ago, The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon by David Grann. It was great! One of the best books I've read in ages. Really, really interesting & very, very well written. I would very highly recommend it to anyone & everyone.

It is a biography about the famous British explorer Colonel Percy Fawcett, who disappeared in 1925 during an expedition in the Amazon jungle while searching for the fabled lost civilization he cryptically dubbed "Z". Whatever happened to him has remained a mystery ever since. Killed by hostile Indians is the most widely accepted theory. So the author sets out to try to solve the mystery. Awesomeness ensues.

At this moment, I'm watching a show on the History channel called After Armageddon. It's also pretty neat. Yay for post-apocalyptic docu-drama type things! Viagra commercials are really annoying aren't they? I can't stand them. I hadn't really been watching much TV in a while, but this past week I've started watching more of it again. Mostly on On Demand or whatever. I've also been seeing a fair number of movies lately.

  1. that book sounds interesting - but I'm too scared to say I'd read it, considering how long I've had "the world without us".

  2. lol. I saw a book at work I thought you'd really like, but it's probably a thousand pages long & I had the same thought.

I already returned Lost City of Z though, I didn't buy it. :(
