Hello there,
How are you today internets? I hope all is well. So Jen has given this blog a little bit of a facelift, I think it looks the better for it!
Last night I finally got around to watching It Might Get Loud, which was awesome. Just awesome. I really enjoyed it (I guess you already got that from my saying it was awesome, right? Okay!). It makes me wish I was musically inclined & it makes me want to try harder to learn to play my own guitar. Anyhow, I would highly recommend the film to any & all. I also watched Extract, again, last night. Still so funny.
Between work, helping with renovations at my sister's house, helping my mom pack things, and maybe seeing an IMAX movie with my sister (about dinosaurs! Rawr!), it looks like I'll be pretty busy this weekend. So don't be too alarmed if I don't blog until Monday. It won't be because I'm lying dead, murdered, in a ditch somewhere waiting for the dudes from CSI to stumble upon my corporeal remains.
At work today we got 13 boxes of books! So yeah, that is going one hell of a credit to tab up.But it seems that the man who once owned those 13 boxes of books was formerly employed as a book reviewer, so consequently there are some rather interesting books of an eclectic variety interspersed with some random crappy books as well. But it's looking way more interesting than the usual boxes of crummy old paperbacks we get so very soul-crushingly often. I'm told that someone once brought in 50 (!) boxes of books. 25 each of hardcovers & softcovers. Crazy! I'm kinda glad I wasn't there for that.
Random factoid of the day: I really really like Shiraz Cabernet.
Random Justen quote of the day (paraphrased) : "What would God know about hard work? He's only worked 7 days in his whole life. Oh no wait, he rested on the 7th day! So 6 days. God is a lazy bastard!"
In honour of the awesomeness of It Might Get Loud and Jimmy Page, Jack White & little Davey Evans, I have decided that I shall include with this blog some pics of my all time fave guitar. Which I think is the coolest & bestest guitar in the history of not only the universe, but also all of the possible multiverse(s). While I'm at it, I'll also throw in some random youtube video, by some random dinkus, that happens to feature "my" guitar.

I'm gonna have to watch Extract since you keep talking about it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the person with 50 boxes of books passed away?
Your family has interesting conversations.
And that guitar would be much nicer in a different colour.
You must! Please do!
ReplyDeleteThey were actually still alive & kicking, but moving to the other end of the country! The 13 boxes belonged to a 90 year old who is now being put in a home. Grandkiddos brought in the books.
Yeah, my siblings are wonderfully ridiculous!
They also made them in Hellfire Red & I think in Green. Although I've seen a green one.
