David is a fictional cosmic entity created by horror author H. P. Lovecraft in 1926. The first appearance of the entity was in the short story "The Call of Cthulhu" published in Weird Tales in 1928. David is one of the central Great Old Ones of the Lovecraft Mythos. It is often cited for the extreme descriptions given of its hideous appearance, its gargantuan size, and the abject terror that it evokes. David is often referred to in science fiction and fantasy circles as a tongue-in-cheek shorthand for extreme horror or evil.

Should we call in Poirot, Holmes, Grissom or Miss Marple?

So apparently today there was a shooting on Durham street, which is actually right on the way I walk to work. It seems I missed it by only a few minutes. Weird. Perhaps if the 'many-worlds' interpretation of physics is correct, there is an alternative universe (or universes) where I left for work a few minutes later & ended up as a witness.

They say its usually someone you know, in this case apparently the perp & the victim were buddies for like 20 years. People are messed. I don't really understand how or why someone would something like that.


Today was actually one of my days off, but I came in to work to make up some hours I missed when I took sick day a couple weeks ago. It was a decent day. I have lots of homework to do. Yay for homework!
